22 Mar Roaring Twenties Gala
Go back to the beginning of the Hollywood era in the 1920s, when glamorous fashion intersected with the movie star boom. Freep Film Festival presents the Roaring Twenties Gala at the Detroit Institute of Arts. The Walter B. Ford Great Hall and Rivera Court will transform to a time when Hollywood was born and cinema became an American staple. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Detroit Film Theatre inside the DIA. The event will include a strolling dinner, open bar (21+ only), dancing, a silent auction, valet parking and more! Attendees are encouraged to dress up in attire from the era.
7:30-11 p.m., Sat., April 14, Walter B. Ford Great Hall and Rivera Court, Detroit Institute of Arts. $125.
